I had the absolute pleasure of reviewing a fabulous venue in Mt Tamborine called Pethers Rainforest Retreat . To read all about my experience check out December issue of Get it Magazine . This Christmas was the first year I've had the bulk of my family at my place (due to international residencies) and coincidentally due to my single status I'd never had a Christmas tree.... 2012, The Compound put up the family tree that I grew up with including all the various random decorations mum had collected over the years. On Wednesday, our fabulous little team (minus our gorgeous Editor Sarah - we missed you darling) got together the milestone that was 2012. With some massive changes and some outstanding accomplishments, the Get it team have grown from strength to strength. So, to celebrate our our winnings, Lea, Aimi and I headed to one of our clients restaurants for an afternoon of bubbles and bonding as only ladies in publishing know how... haha. Our destination - Lauxes on the Park  in Broadbeach A delightful 6 hour lunch of Chandon, oysters, Chandon, duck, Chandon, pork belly, Moreton Bay bug and Chandon. A little known fact about me, Flamingos are actually my one of my favourite critters on this planet... Some fun facts about this beautiful pink feathery glamour bird and why I love them so: 1. The bend in the flamingos neck half down down is actually it's ankle! 2. It is actually their diet that makes a flamingos feathers pink. 3.  Flamingos are  monogamous  birds that lay only a single egg each year. 4.  A flock of flamingos is called a stand or a  flamboyance . This gorgeous cuff was an early Christmas gift from my wonderful friend Janene and the owner of Wild Bling Thank you xxx

Yesterday, the fabulous Sonia Stradiotto held her last showcasing for the year and invited her VIP's to the Bliss Xmas Soiree at Marina Mirage to see her latest collection.
