My Gasoline Rainbow

It's Sunday afternoon and after losing power for four days from the horrific storm that came thundering through here last week, I'm home spending the weekend doing the big clean up. Can I say, the amount of dishes and general waste you accumulate that can't clean without electricity is ASTOUNDING, not to mention an entire fridge full of food that had to be thrown out. That aside, compared to the catastrophic disaster that hit my home town in Bundaberg I was one of the lucky ones. So while I clean, I've decided to do a general clean up as well, which leads me to my bag and shoe collection... I think it's time to go shopping. When metallic pants first came to trend I instantly fell in love. Zara, Michael Kors and Rag & Bone all brought out their version of party gold jeans, but being a curvy gal my first thoughts were that a) I would be lucky to find a pair that would suit my figure and b) a pair that would be within my "Luxe for Less" concept ie under $100. I knew that if I did find a pair, I could totally pull them off. So when I came across these stunning gold metallic skinnies I thought all my Christmas's had come at once. Light stretch fabric, not too much shine and OH SO SEXY. Having a meeting with a magazine editor today, I wanted to look effortlessly fashionably stylish and when she commented on my jeans I knew I had a winner! Mixed with my new London Rebel leopard print platform heels to give me a bit of animalistic attitude and a vintage sequin jacket I picked up from Salvos for $15 I was feeling fit.
