MONDAY SEQUINS

Image
It's a super cold Monday on the Coast and a big week in the Get it Magazine office working on the August issue. I picked up this vintage sequin jacket a while ago for only $10 from Salvos and absolutely love it. I rarely can wear jackets because I have a very high body temperature which is why you always see me in singlets and tees (an interesting fact for you) so to be able to wear this gorgeous number is music to my stylists body lol

FRIDAY FROLIC

Image
It's a beautiful Friday morning so i've headed down to the Broadwater before a busy day of organising interviews for MBFF in Brisbane at the end of August. I'm wearing a skirt I picked up at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. I love it because of the light cotton fabric and cute houses mixed with the grey and bright colours. Perfect in time for Spring. The clutch is another op shop bargain, made of flax. Surprisingly large it fits everything in it including my wallet, camera, Blackberry and notepad and pen, plus my lipgloss. My earrings, rings and bangles are all vintage from my mum's teenage years. And as you can see I've pulled the green from the skirt in with the green in one of the rings. I love mixing up my outfit with those personal touches. Keeps my loved ones close to me xx Singlet:: Supre Heels:: Zoe Wittner

GOLD COAST PICKER SISTERS

Saturday, my girlfriend Robbie, who is the designer behind Madison & Montana Soy Candle Co. got up at the crack of dawn to hit the garage sales to see what bargains we could grab!  With the success of shows like American Pickers and Picker Sisters, we were inspired to create our stories at home and with our businesses with pre-loved treasures. DISCO WILD

Image
When metallic pants first came to trend I instantly fell in love. Zara, Michael Kors and Rag & Bone all brought out their version of party gold jeans, but being a curvy gal my first thoughts were that a) I would be lucky to find a pair that would suit my figure and b) a pair that would be within my "Luxe for Less" concept ie under $100. I knew that if I did find a pair, I could totally pull them off. So when I came across these stunning gold metallic skinnies I thought all my Christmas's had come at once. Light stretch fabric, not too much shine and OH SO SEXY. Having a meeting with a magazine editor today, I wanted to look effortlessly fashionably stylish and when she commented on my jeans I knew I had a winner! Mixed with my new London Rebel leopard print platform heels to give me a bit of animalistic attitude and a vintage sequin jacket I picked up from Salvos for $15 I was feeling fit. Jeans:: Kmart $19 Perfume:: Georgio Beverly Hills ...
