Finally a POSITIVE change in the weather and the boy and I are heading out to grab a few things for the house (you can see his handsome reflection in the window lol). After a late night trip to grab a crock pot last night in preparation for Easter Friday with the partners family, I picked up these rockstar buckle boots from my fave chain store. Easy to get on with a zipper on the inside and super comfy I think these will look great with a leather mini too...

So today was a hectic day, with a final meeting at the fabulous QT Gold Coast to ensure all is in place for the Face of QT Fashion Week & Awards Finals  at Stingray Lounge tomorrow night (Thursday 7th March) from 6.30pm. With all the t's crossed and i's dotted I headed down to Australia Fair  to scout for my first Top 10 Buys which was so much fun. It was also a great opportunity for me to get to know all the Retailers down there, so stay tuned for some great style and great offers! My outfit today, jumper from Kmart - these come in a variety of prints and colours and are nice and lightweight. I love this mint colour and the studs on the shoulders. The leopard loafers a steal at $5, also from Kmart. Where? Australia Fair Lace shorts from Supre, a feminine touch and of course my new gorgeous fuchsia Chanel - thanks mum xx 

A day of errands and the commencement of packing so thought I would experiment with print mixing from Kmart. My favourite pants and spotted peplum top. Who says you need to follow the rules?? Friday night I headed to Miami Marketta with friends, amazing night market held at the fabulous creative space Rabbit & Cocoon. Market stalls, food stalls, live music and alcohol - what a perfect night out! Wearing a new jumper I picked up today on my travels (yes yes I know I was supposed to be packing) from Trade Secret. LOVE SKULLS!!!

Yesterday I bought this gorgeous print dress for a steal at only $19 once again proving you don't need to spend a lot to look great. The on trend chevron print and asymmetric style gives it a stylish high street look and teamed with a coin bracelet, black cuff and some edgy grey booty sandals this is a great street boho look. Where did I get it? You guessed it Kmart xx

When the collar necklace trend first came out, I thought it would be a very quick passing phase and saw a great deal of the same styles being produced by the designer - Focussing mainly on pearls and lace, two details that I don't wear a great deal of. I've never been a fan of "matchy matchy" and as you can see by this outfit that's made abundantly clear by the multitude of bright colours I'm wearing today. But the thing I love about personal style is there are NO RULES! With bright colours still big in trend at the moment, I'm wearing a coral maxi skirt teamed with a gorgeous knitted tank in this season's hottest colour - cobalt blue. Both of these great basics I picked up from KMart for under $20! The jacket was an incredible find at a Lifeline store for only $25. Worn day or night, the bright neon colours and sequins is a total statement piece and will never date. Coloured jeans are all the craze now with denim becoming available in every colour imaginable. I thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and picked up these gorgeous fuschia ones from Kmart for $15.00. The great thing about these pants is they can be worn day or night, teamed with a pair of ballet flats or heels they look fantastic!

Thursday and i'm wearing my new tan brogues which I grabbed a bargain for at $5 from Kmart. Not normally the style I go for, but very versatile as far as fashion experimentation goes. Can't wait to wear them with ankle or knee high socks! This sheer oriental jacket with shoulder pads i picked up from Salvos for $3.50, featured with sequins, this can be worn from day to night. Today I was asked to be the guest speaker at the Australian Institute of Creative Design to talk to the styling students about my career and to give them an assignment as part of their curriculum. It's always great as a professional to be able to share my experiences, provide advice and assistance to emerging artists. Part of the assessment involves me as the client so I wanted to present my style to give them an idea of who I am. Boho Rock! When metallic pants first came to trend I instantly fell in love. Zara, Michael Kors and Rag & Bone all brought out their version of party gold jeans, but being a curvy gal my first thoughts were that a) I would be lucky to find a pair that would suit my figure and b) a pair that would be within my "Luxe for Less" concept ie under $100. I knew that if I did find a pair, I could totally pull them off. So when I came across these stunning gold metallic skinnies I thought all my Christmas's had come at once. Light stretch fabric, not too much shine and OH SO SEXY. Having a meeting with a magazine editor today, I wanted to look effortlessly fashionably stylish and when she commented on my jeans I knew I had a winner! It's no secret my love for Kmart and their amazing range of women's clothing they have, especially trend based, which are a great addition to your wardrobe and at incredible prices!
