OPEL INSIGNIA OPC
Last week I had the absolute delight to test drive the amazing Opel Insignia OPC for QT Fashion Week & Awards thanks to the fabulous staff at Gold Coast Opel . Just to give you a little back ground on the brand.... Opel has been around for about 150 years or so. Mr Adam Opel, in 1862 built his first sewing machine which was where the foundation for his company first began, showing that fashion and Opel go hand in hand. By 1920, Opel was one of the largest bicycle manufacturers of the world and continued to manufacture bikes until 1937. In 1989, Opel made it's first automobile and within a year marks it's debut into international sport. I'm sure many of you would have heard of the Astra, which was created by Opel but rebadged for other manufacturers around the world mostly common known would be GM Holden. MARLIES DEKKERS @ QTFWA
International Dutch lingerie designer Marlies Dekkers was the first show at QT Fashion Week and Awards. Having such a high profile label on the Gold Coast was fantastic to see and knowing her collection has graced the bodies of superstars of SJP, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Victoria Beckham and Dita von Teese to name a few it was great to see the Africa collection in full, really showcasing her concept "underwear as outerwear".

GIVENCHY IN THE HOUSE
With great excitement I finally get to take my new it bag out for a walk and i'm SO IN LOVE!!!!! The month wait on order after purchase was definitely worth it... Coming with an oversized clutch as well as a little pouch (which is perfect for my IPhone 5 and handsfree) it fits everything in it from my Canon EOS 1100D, my diary, notepad, clipboard - yes i'm a total nerd and carry a clipboard (handiest tool for a stylist), make up and pretty much all the other random crap I have a tendency to carry around with me. Saturday night I ventured out to the fabulous Komune Beach Club to watch two of my favourite local designers showcase their collections. Like most runway shows, the real magic happens beforehand "backstage" while everyone is getting ready.
