My Gasoline Rainbow

It's a super cold Monday on the Coast and a big week in the Get it Magazine office working on the August issue. I picked up this vintage sequin jacket a while ago for only $10 from Salvos and absolutely love it. I rarely can wear jackets because I have a very high body temperature which is why you always see me in singlets and tees (an interesting fact for you) so to be able to wear this gorgeous number is music to my stylists body lol

Thursday 7th March was my 34th birthday, yes, although most women are reluctant to declare their age, I, on the other hand am loud and proud. A) Because, thanks to good strong genetics I'm lucky enough to not look my age; B) After all I've been through over the years, i've so grateful to be alive, in one piece (physically and mentally - well mostly lol) and living an incredible life that I love. On my birthday night was the Face of QT Fashion Week & Awards finals, my outfit for the evening was a Willow top that i've had for over 5 years "Madamoiselle" hand sewn sequins silk leopard print top with bolero. Absolutely stunning, teamed with a gold sequin skirt from Ice - proving that you can match high street with chain store and a pair of nude studded heels. This was my first week as my role as Social Media Fashion Stylist at Australia Fair so I was super excited to meet all the managers of the retailers that I will be working with as well as look around for my first top ten buys "The Hot List" that I will be showcasing each week. I am totally and completely in love with sequins, day or night, I can't get enough. Here are just a few looks I'm lusting after at the moment xx

I've never been a fan of "matchy matchy" and as you can see by this outfit that's made abundantly clear by the multitude of bright colours I'm wearing today. But the thing I love about personal style is there are NO RULES! With bright colours still big in trend at the moment, I'm wearing a coral maxi skirt teamed with a gorgeous knitted tank in this season's hottest colour - cobalt blue. Both of these great basics I picked up from KMart for under $20! The jacket was an incredible find at a Lifeline store for only $25. Worn day or night, the bright neon colours and sequins is a total statement piece and will never date. The mint platform shoes a steal at $19, also from KMart top the oufit off with a hot pink frilled clutch for  a real head turner.
