CORAL LACE

Image
I've never been one to follow rules (just ask my mother, any of my school teachers... in fact in any aspect of my life) and that goes for fashion. Doing the matchy-matchy thing is certainly something that I don't like to do, so when the boy and I headed out for a weekend lunch I literally grabbed the first things I saw. One of my oldest singlets and a coral lace skirt (not something I would usually go for, but hey nothing wrong with trying something new). Pair of coral Havianas , chunky jewellery and I think I pulled it together hahaha well maybe the outfit xx Singlet | Supre Skirt | Kmart Clutch | Op Shop Necklace | Diva Bracelet | Nat Kent Jewellery

BAROQUE

Image
Baroque was a trend that was prominent in Autumn/Winter 2012 with Dolce & Gabbana and Balmain rocking out opulent prints in pants and dresses and it seems the 17th century style is back again. This dress is a very toned down version of the trend, but after a weekend of shopping at my fave new location Australia Fair, I'm loving this "Shakespeare in Love" look with gold, rich embroidery, lace and embellishments. THIS IS MY LOVE STORY

Image
So today was a hectic day, with a final meeting at the fabulous QT Gold Coast to ensure all is in place for the Face of QT Fashion Week & Awards Finals  at Stingray Lounge tomorrow night (Thursday 7th March) from 6.30pm. With all the t's crossed and i's dotted I headed down to Australia Fair  to scout for my first Top 10 Buys which was so much fun. It was also a great opportunity for me to get to know all the Retailers down there, so stay tuned for some great style and great offers! My outfit today, jumper from Kmart - these come in a variety of prints and colours and are nice and lightweight. I love this mint colour and the studs on the shoulders. The leopard loafers a steal at $5, also from Kmart. Where? Australia Fair Lace shorts from Supre, a feminine touch and of course my new gorgeous fuchsia Chanel - thanks mum xx

SHOW ME YOUR ID...

When the Celine ID necklaces and bracelets came into trend, I absolutely fell in love with them. In fact, I fell in love with them so much I got them in rose gold and titanium. Here i'm wearing my rose gold necklace with a peach tank with lace overlay. Necklace:: Wild Bling Top:: Kmart

LUXE FOR LESS MONDAY

Image
It's Monday and after a weekend of having my hair in a high bun, to deal with the crazy heatwave hitting the country at the moment. With naturally wavy hair and extensions, sometimes with the time to wash, blowdry and straighten it's just not a viable option... This is where the fabulous scarf comes into the play... I've never really been a fan of wearing scarves in the traditional sense but adding a scarf to keep your hair off your face is a great accessory to add a bit of "pizazz" to an outfit. This Oroton scarf was actually from my grandmother's collection. Scarf:: Oroton Top & Shorts:: Supre Sandals:: Kmart

MAC & BAIN

Image
Recently I put together a fashion parade at Southport Sharks as part of a partnership with Get it Magazine for a fabulous Melbourne Cup luncheon called Bubbles & Bling that was a sellout day. Click HERE for my previous post on Melbourne Cup Day I caught up with Alana McBain the designer behind Mac & Bain to get an insight into her label.        You showcased Mac & Bain at Gold Coast Fashion Week in February which was a huge success, how was that for you?       My experience with Gold Coast Fashion week was amazing. It was such a great opportunity for Mac & Bain to be able to showcase the 2012 'Promises' collection and reach a new audience since it is still such a new label. It is also fantastic to have such an important event for designers and fashion return to the Gold Coast successfully. ·          Mac & Bain has only been around for a couple of years, what made you d...

PRETTY IN PINK

Apparently lace is back. I've always been of the belief there is a fine line between looking matronly and like a lady of the night with lace but when then I found this gorgeous little frock. Pretty in Pink x Earrings:: Colette Accessories Dress:: Kmart Clutch:: Vintage Heels:: Emerson for Big W
