Svelt PR Update


Welcome to all you Svelt lovers....
With 2010 almost over I wanted to share with you some changes that have happened within Svelt PR.
New clients, past clients and upcoming projects there is always something exciting happening in the office.
Emily Williams (ex Australian Idol contestant and Young Divas member) joins the Svelt PR ranks to co-ordinate the launch of her first solo single "Spellbound".
Emily will be performing at MP's on the Gold Coast this Saturday for her single launch party, so if you have nothing on, make sure you come down and check it out - you will be SPELLBOUND!!!
Also, this Sunday at Zuri Lounge Bar in Fortitude Valley, Svelt PR will be sponsoring Brisbane Creatives at their High Fashion Tea Party event (see separate post for more information). Cover charge is $10 and with VIP guests and a showcasing of some incredible talent, this is a great event not to be missed.
Svelt PR is also working with a private client on an amazing project called "La Femme" - empowerment and education events for women - so stay tuned for dates and location!!!
Global Sound Festival NYE/NYD in Melbourne - Tickets selling now - so if you're looking for something different to do to bring in the dawn of another year, check out the line up (more to be announced) and contact missy@svelt.com.au for all enquiries on early bird tickets.

GOODBYE CHARLOTTE DAWSON

It’s been a rough weekend. I had a total meltdown on Friday night after a build up of stresses got the better of me. After taking my frustrations out on my partner, I ran off taking the keys to the car and ended up in a park down the road in the dark by myself sitting on a swing in a completely hysterical state just crying. Classic Bipolar episode, luckily I was lucid enough to tell my partner where I was so he could walk to where I was, as I was in no state to drive. I’ve been stressed for weeks and it just got too much, a complete emotional overload. I was stressed about dealings with a creative agency I’d been trying to work with to get my blog to where I want it to be within my small budget. I was stressed about issues with my parents and their separation and the toll it was taking on my relationship with my mum. I was stressed about the house and cleaning.  I’d been stressed about my health and my weight.  I’d been stressed about my partner and his work

Body Makeover... REJECTED by my trainer

It is with much surprise, sadness and contemplation that I write this blog post... I don't live in a world of fairy floss and unicorns but I have to say that my life is fairly blessed.  I laugh every day, I love my home and my beautiful cat and best mate Neo. I have a wonderful and talented assistant who is just as passionate about my business as I am and makes life so much easier. My family is amazing and I have some wonderful friends. I get to review beauty products, restaurants and bars, interview celebrities and do cool activities like feed tigers and flying trapeze.  I love what I do and I love my life, so at the beginning of the year when I made the decision to lose the excess weight I'd gained as a result of the medication I take due to a health condition I have (and will continue to have to take for the rest of my life) it was a big step.
