UP & COMING DESIGNER - DAMSEL IN THIS DRESS

After viewing Damsel in this Dress at the Up and Coming designer’s show at Gold Coast Fashion Week last night, My Gasoline Rainbow is proud to introduce the local label to our readers.
Damsel in this Dress is the creative outlet of designer Melina Hollway, a self-taught creator with a unique vision. Located on the Gold Coast, Melina says she draws her inspiration from the “luminous tropical surroundings to the far removed dark and mysterious romantic scenes of the back streets of Paris”.


A creator at heart, Melina highly enjoys experimentation and the effect this has on the evolution of her label. Engrossed in her vision, Melina regularly hand makes her designer garments and striking jewellery pieces.
This flirty and feminine label has recruited an army of followers, which will ensure Damsel in this Dress continues to storm the runways for years to come.

For years I've always been told how lucky I was to have such good skin. And for years I always blew the compliments off with a casual thank you. After a crazy weekend of celebrating our friends Hen's and Bucks (needless to say the chores and shopping didn't get done) - the boy came home from a long day's work and being the good girlfriend I am (hehe) I suggested take out for dinner. UNCOVERING THE BRISBANE LOOK

This Thursday evening, I will be one of the lucky few to be attending the exclusive screening of "Uncovering the Brisbane Look".  QueensPlaza in association with Mercedes-Benz Brisbane is launching an inspiring documentary film to celebrate Brisbane's style at the GoMA . Former Vogue Editor, Kirstie Clements narrates the film and plays the role as Executive Producer while it looks at it's creativity, passion and everything that draws us in about Brisbane's thriving fashion industry. Style heavyweights interviewed especially for the film include Easton Pearson 's Lydia Pearson, Sass and Bide 's Heidi Middleton, and Nicky and Simone Zimmermann .
